Who would have thought?  While on a mission to the local mall shops to look for binoculars to stare at people in buildings across the way....  we came across one of only 10 nationwide Brookstone stores that were part of the pre-release of the AR Drone.  If you haven’t seen my previous post about the AR Drone and the drooling that happened when it was announced, then you won’t understand the weakness I had when I found only a couple available before the official launch date.  So I thought to myself.  $50 binoculars to be a voyeur—or a $300 toy.  Well—the toy won.  So after sweet talking the Brookstone people into letting us have one of these, we immediately ran back to open and test this thing out.  All I have to say ... is it’s definitely as cool/fun as it appeared to be in the release videos by Parrot (Manufacturer).  So I’m going to post a few pictures of the unveiling of the AR Drone… followed by some video of us trying to fly it on a windy night off of the pool level of our highrise. 

Needless to say, we still don’t have binoculars…
