Doggie Protective Eyewear

If you’re gonna be stylish, make sure your pooch is covered too!  Doggles has some cute stylish protective eyewear for your dog. The anti-fog, shatterproof lenses offer 100% UV protection from the sun and protection from wind, bugs and debris, but no protection from canines for those chewers out there.  Maybe your dog needs to be discreet to check out those other hot bitches (female doggies) while on the street; your pooch will be psyching out the other competition in no time. The glasses are securely worn with an adjustable head and chin strap with foam cushioned frames. They come in various styles (sunglasses or goggles) with different colored lenses.

Mod wall applications by ferm LIVING

A couple of years ago at a trade show, I came across a French company (Plage’) that had a great idea - vinyl wall applications to spice up your space.  Unfortunately they were never able to bring the product to the US Market.  Today, I discovered something even MORE interesting.... a full line of wall applications from another company (ferm LIVING) that spans everything small from retro floral decals to funky, full wall stickers. If I have my way, they’ll end up in our store for purchase within weeks!  (view the collection here) Here’s a few examples:

Beauty Lies In The Ocean

An interesting concept to your standard everyday aquarium.  Spacearium has a unique hanging aquarium that you will want to base your home decor on this focal point. This beautiful design enables 360 degree vision to allow you to see the aquarium in all it’s glory regardless of viewing angle.  The aquarium is made of lightweight acrylic with no viewable reinforcements at the extremities; the remote filtration definitely makes a nice feature to hide all those unwated external aquarium accessories.  With a hefty price tag, this aquarium will pay itself off in beauty, joy, and many compliments.

I Got Grapes!

While having a glass of wine, I came across this cool wine rack.  With Grape from designer Robert Bronwasser at Smool, you will have lots of bottles of yummy fermented grape juice to display in your home.  Stack em’ as high as you want!  These light weight racks are made from “a very strongly, super-light material” (plastic is my guess).  The rack will even fit some champagne bottles for those bubbly occasions!

Forget About Knocking 3 Times On The Ceiling

Show your love some sexy cookies instead.  Trust me, they will get the point!  I know food can be sexy, but how far are you willing to go for presentation?  Tease your beau (or gal) with some hot appetizers, sinful desserts, or spice it up with a plate full of explicit cookies.  You will soon be telling your partner, “OOOH, I wanna try THAT position...I mean cookie!” Careful, you might get hot and bothered while baking with these stencils from PIPPARKAKAN!

Large Scale Art that’s Eco-friendly

Betterwall is the source for museum and art exhibition posters. They acquire the street banners from museums around the globe and make them available for purchase through their website - buy purchasing them you are preventing the original works from being lost to landfills and a portion of the purchase goes to the original museum. What better way to get a very large piece of art ( the one pictured was from the Fowler Museum at UCLA - it’s 96” tall!) for a reasonable price - they average around $500US. Since the posters are limited edition - check they site regularly for new offerings.

Yamaha Cantilever Piano (does this thing really work?!)

Blending a traditional instrument with modern design, Industrial Facility from the UK was challenged with creating a new, outrageous concept for a Yamaha electric piano.  While it’s a fully functioning piano, it’s more of a piece of timeless art than anything.  The piano was on exhibit at the Milano Salone Exhibit in April 2008

Cubo Radio - by Sonoro

We’ve been watching the Cubo radio since we saw it at this years CES in Vegas.  It was the only thing that stood out during that over the top trade show full of crap that people will never buy.

If you are looking for a stylish CD/MP3 clock radio, with all the quality you would associate with German design then check out the three new cubos that Sonoro Audio are launching during CES.

They include:

* An all-in-one clock that contains a slot-in CD/MP3 player.
* Internal iPod docking station with remote control compatibility and recharge function as well as AM/FM radio reception.

If the radio is more your thing they will also be offering a internet/FM radio cubo.

The cubo combines form with functionality as in addition to great care over the design, each of the three cubos are encased in wood to give high quality acoustics with a metal grill located on the top of the product “which enables upward resonance from its powerful full range speaker.” Measuring 8.26-inches x 5.39-inches x 9.05-inches and weighing 8.15-pounds this is a very neat and tidy, yet powerful little unit.
