“Spoiling Your Cat” Doesn’t Begin to Describe This

The Hammock Table by Koichi Futatsumata - It’s not everyday you see stylish modern design intersect with pet products in such an elegant and seamless way. And when your cat inevitably gets bored with it, you can hold books or display flowers underneath. But then there’s the cost, how much do you love your cat? I doubt anyone has ever been “forced” onto a hammock, but at $3000.00 I’ll want my money’s worth. GNR8.

An Actual Product: Wiebetech’s “Mouse Jiggler”

Just a little gadget that proves nowadays there really is a device for any use you can think of.  Besides having one of the best names ever, the “Mouse Jiggler” by Wiebetech (from what I can tell NOT founded by Steve Wiebe) stealthily moves your cursor 1 pixel every second. Perfect for users unable to access their computer settings for whatever reason. via.

Come Here Lil’ Tiger

Dog owners in China have taken doggie makeovers to the next level. Perhaps a new trend that will catch on? WHO doesn’t want a cute, cuddly panda begging to be loved all day?!  or a vicious lil tiger to guard your home?!  =)

Modern Chicken Coop (aka Crib)

I’m the kinda guy who would buy this.  For one—I love chickens (yes, the live variety… as well as on some bread with cheese & bacon).  I raised them as a kid.  I wish this would have been around when I had my little peeps!

Modern chicken coop CRIB.

Predator proof, easy to assemble and environmentally friendly, this urban Henhouse will make you the flyest cock farmer on the block.

The StairCase by Danny Kuo

Seen over at 1 Design a Day, the StairCASE features three moving boxes which can be pulled out and serve as a step ladder for reaching the top shelves. A small innovation to be sure, but you factor in the added storage space, minus any step stool that would otherwise be required and this design is priceless.

Stewart Stand’s Sleek Stainless Steel Wallets

From Brooklyn-based design company Stewart Stand, these ultra-thin wallets are actually made from woven stainless steel thread to be extremely durable and even block RFID scanning on your cards and prevent identity theft. They will also set off a metal detector if you pass through, but isn’t that the perfect place to flash a little dough? See them here.

Another Great Ironing Board Innovation

There’s really nothing as unsightly as the many “one-function” items we have around the house. Here’s a perfect example: the Madame Est Servie ironing board concept from Aïssa Logerot. While most ironing boards are relegated to some unseen part of the house - even this killer prototype I love would be tucked away for most of the day - this board flips over and serves a real purpose during all other times.

Self-Refilling Wine Glass!

Sometimes the best inventions solve a problem you didn’t know you had. Case in point, the Glass Tank by Kouichi Okamoto of Kyouei Design - a self-filling wine glass that works with air and water pressure to always keep your snifter at an appropriate level. Because when you think about it, refilling your glass is probably the most tedious part of drinking wine. via.
